Strach – a fear song
One day, soon perhaps. One day I will tear up the anchor that holds my ship far from the seas. (Henri Michaux - The Clown).
Strach- a fear song came to the world several years ago. It brings together three circus artists and an opera singer, the latter being asked to perform basic acrobatics. Being able to go beyond one’s fears, to put to use a newly-found confidence, and, finally, to sing within a new paradigm.
We want this show to capture the first of what is “living together”, based on a new concept: carrying the voice.
Isn’t today’s society deeply suffering from a lack of courage? No one is being brave enough to confront one’s fears, to the way we perceive our relation to what’s foreign, to our self, to politics,…
Our proposition itself is to advocate concretely and in a very graphic way against capitalism which produces a world of inequalities and competition where people see themselves as identity-less followers unable to act independently.
With this musical play, we want to recognize these differences and observe the reality around us, i.e. the reality of human behavior, even, no especially, taking into account that the human behavior is very contradictory. We want to discover a different “paradigm” that will shine the light on these contradictions.
Singing. Surrendering. Allowing someone else to carry you. Accepting instability to compose a physical symphony that uplifts the body, transforms it, moves it, helps it evolving in a different way to see the world through a brand new lens.
Covid stops the diffusion of the show
